The Braves announced another small signing on Tuesday, inking a split contract with left-handed reliever Danny Young.

Hardcore Braves fans should be familiar with Danny Young, as he made eight appearances with the club back in 2023, pitching to a very respectable 1.08 ERA with a 2.42 FIP over 8.1 innings.
Young has spent the last two seasons with the New York Mets, making 52 total appearances with a 4.50 ERA. However, his 3.25 FIP over that stretch is much more encouraging, and his 11.9 strikeouts per nine innings is impressive. His repertoire gives him the potential to carve out a lengthy MLB career for himself, but unfortunately, he went down with Tommy John surgery last May. Young is probably looking at a late-season return but could insert himself as a bullpen option for years to come.
