The rumors surrounding Matt Ryan taking a job inside the Atlanta Falcons front office have been swirling for over a week now, with some even suggesting he is already part of the operation. However, nothing official has been announced, and Ian Rapoport is now reporting that the legendary quarterback is set to interview later this week for the newly created role of Falcons President of Football, noting that Ryan is a favorite for the position.

The decision really seems to come down to if Matt Ryan wants the job, and whether the Falcons would acquiesce to his desire of multi-tasking. Tom Pelissero reported yesterday that Ryan would like to work in Atlanta’s front office while also continuing his broadcasting career with CBS.
That could be a no-no for Arthur Blank and company, which would force Ryan to make a decision. Does he want to help return the Falcons to their glory days, as he did as a player, or would he rather the much more easy-going life of a broadcaster?
