Because COVID gave an extra year to players who wanted it, the 2025 NFL Draft was full of draftable prospects, and the Falcons came away with a slew of undrafted free agents who might’ve normally been selected on Day 3.
One that grabbed headlines was Nick Nash out of San Jose State, who put up more than 150 catches and 2,000 yards with 24 TDs over his final two seasons. Nash was an absolute problem last year, winning the triple crown in 2024 as he led all of college football in receptions (104), yards (1,382), and touchdowns.
He’s excellent in contested catch situations, grabbing 18 of them in 2024. Given the club’s wide receiver room, Nick Nash should have every opportunity to earn a roster spot during the preseason.
Another UDFA that is turning heads is Cobee Bryant, who notched 13 career interceptions at Kansas and thrives in zone coverage, but is definitely a little undersized at 6-foot, 180 pounds.
He’s the one I am most excited about, and apparently so is Raheem Morris. Ahead of the Falcons’ rookie minicamp, the head coach singled him out to the media, noting 11% of NFL starts are UDFAs.

The Falcons could use depth at both receiver and cornerback, so Bryant will certainly have an outside shot at making the roster.
