The NFL’s most trusted insider has spoken, and the Falcons appear to now have clear frontrunners for their vacant head coach and GM positions.
Barking Rumor. Hearing that Josh Williams is the current favorite for the #Falcons GM position. If hired, look for him to possibly bring in Robert Saleh as coach. Matt Ryan prefers a head coach with previous experience. Stefanski has also been linked to the opening #DirtyBirds pic.twitter.com/tKNeXky1O8

Now, if you think this is a joke because Rickey is a dog, you’re not online enough — and that’s probably a good thing. But I am, and Rickey is quite literally one of the most trusted insiders in the game, despite the fact that nobody knows his real name. He was the first person to report that John Harbaugh was headed to the Giants, and now he’s calling his shot with the Falcons.
Harbaugh flew to NJ to meet with the #Giants and are hoping to keep him in the building until they agree to terms. Giants are his first choice. Joe Schoen’s role remains unclear, but it’s not a roadblock. There should be an official announcement today or tomorrow. #NYGiants pic.twitter.com/bM3My2J1Sr

Adding even more weight to Rickey’s report, there are also a couple of league-wide reports that have arrived at similar conclusions.
Chad Forbes was the first to report that Josh Williams — not Ian Cunningham — is the favorite for Atlanta’s GM position. Josina Anderson also reported this morning that sources believe the Falcons are down to two head coaching candidates — one on each side of the ball — which very well could be Robert Saleh and Kevin Stefanski.
Things are starting to move quickly around the Falcons, and we could know who the next head coach and general manager will be in Atlanta sooner rather than later.
