Georgia suffers a critical injury in the secondary

Unfortunately, walk on safety and team leader Dan Jackson is out for the 2022 season after suffering a stress fracture in practice. Jackson was a really underrated piece of Georgia’s defense, and arguably the best player in the country not on scholarship.

Thankfully for Georgia fans, the secondary has arguably been their biggest strength in 2022, and they have tons of talent behind Jackson.

JaCorey Thomas, Nyland Green, David Daniel, Daylen Everette, Jaheim Singletary, Julian Humphrey, and Marcus Washington are all guys who could potentially fill in if needed. Most of these guys were top cornerback recruits out of high school. Even though Jackson ranked fifth in snaps, he was a leader on this team. Georgia is going to need all hands on deck with Tennessee and Mississippi State’s passing attacks looming.
