Georgia Bulldogs: Standout EDGE defender set to visit Athens

According Hayes Fawcett of ON3, the Georgia Bulldogs are set to host former Army EDGE defender Elo Modozie on a visit this weekend.

Modozie is coming off a sophomore campaign for the Black Nights in which he recorded 6.5 sacks to go along with 34 total tackles. He’s one of the premier EDGE defenders in the transfer portal, an area of desperate need for the Bulldogs going into the 2025 season.

There haven’t been many instances during Kirby Smart‘s tenure at Georgia where the team hasn’t featured a multitude of elite pass rushers that have gone on to have a ton of success at the next level. Jalon Walker and Mykel Williams were two stars on the Bulldogs defense this past season and both are expected to be first round picks in the upcoming NFL Draft.

With Chaz Chambliss also headed to the NFL and Damon Wilson II transferring to Missouri, the Bulldogs are not in an ideal spot when it comes to the pass rush. Adding a proven commodity like Elo Modozie that can come in and start from the jump has to be a top priority during the spring transfer portal.
