Georgia Bulldogs Clock In At #3 in the Preseason AP Top 25 Poll.

The preseason AP Top 25 Poll dropped on Monday, with the Georgia Bulldogs once again beginning the season well within the top-five, clocking in at #3 behind Ohio State and Oregon.

There’s almost never been an accurate preseason poll, but Georgia and Ohio State have been the safest bets year in and year out over the last decade. Even in their “down years,” they’re typically in national championship conversations — and when things go right, they’re holding up the trophy at the end of the campaign.

The SEC leads the way with nine teams in the top 25, four of which appear on the Bulldogs’ 2026 schedule. It begins with a home matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners on September 26th. Two weeks later, Georgia travels to Tuscaloosa for a game against Alabama, followed by November matchups against Ole Miss and Missouri. The Big Ten enters the season with eight teams in the top 25.

This is now the ninth consecutive season the Bulldogs have begun the year inside the top five. Over that stretch, Georgia hasn’t finished a season ranked outside the top nine once — the pinnacle of consistency in the sport under Kirby Smart.
