Braves: Ronald Acuña Jr. exits game early with leg injury

It’s hold your breath time for Atlanta Braves fans, as star right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. exited Tuesday’s game early after pulling up limp with a leg injury while running to first.

Here’s what happened:

The Braves have yet to release an update on his condition, but from the look of it, this might be something that’s going to require yet another IL stint.

The hope, really, is that Acuña avoided disaster. Despite being among the most talented players to ever grace the diamond, there’s no arguing at this point that he has an injury problem. He’s already suffered multiple ACL injuries and has hit the IL with a handful of other lower leg issues.

At this point, all we can really do is pray for the best. We’ll have more as updates become available.

UPDATE: The Braves are calling it a left hamstring injury.

Hamstring injuries can vary and almost always require an IL stint. In a best case scenario, Acuña will only miss a couple of weeks. Worst case scenario, he misses some months. Regardless, this is certainly a positive update, as it looks like he avoided disaster.
