The Falcons have three games left in the 2021 season and technically still have a shot at the playoffs. However, the mathematic possibility is so close to zero that, for all intents and purposes, Atlanta is out of the playoff hunt. The narrative has shifted to the offseason for many fans in anticipation of the draft and free agency. So for the holiday season, I will recap the season by deciding which Falcons deserve coal in their stocking for Christmas.

- Jalen Mayfield
- Arthur Blank

Yes, Santa’s naughty list is relatively short this year (because I’m so jolly). I didn’t want to put any players on here because it just seemed wrong; however, I think I’d get fired if I didn’t include Mayfield. He’s incrementally improved throughout the season, but the stinkers show how far away he really is from becoming a reliable player. Hopefully, the coal will motivate him to hit the offseason hard.
On the other hand, I don’t feel bad giving the team’s owner coal; Blank has single handily ruined the experience of going to Falcons games. His money-driven obsession with private seat licenses (PSLs) has made it nearly impossible for an average family to afford tickets. But you can bet your ass they’re promoting the ridiculously low concession prices. There were noticeably more Tampa fans during Atlanta’s Week 13 matchup against the Buccaneers. It was louder when the Falcons were on offense than defense. Winning is a cure-all, so I wouldn’t be shocked if things changed as the victories started rolling in; however, at this point, Blank is doing a disservice by owning this franchise.
