MLB Pipeline released their list of the Top 10 outfield prospects in baseball, and two Braves were featured. Cristian Pache came in at #3 and Drew Waters snuck in at #10.

Pache made his debut for the Braves last season and was forced into action in the NLCS after Adam Duvall’s injury. On the biggest stage, he looked ready for the moment, especially defensively, which is why it’s no surprise he was featured multiple times when the author, Jim Callis, talked about the top tools of these prospects, giving Pache a 70 for his run, 70 for his arm, and 80 for his fielding. He already might be the best defensive center-fielder in the game and should be starting for the Braves to begin the season.
The Drew Waters hype train has slowed a little bit, but that’s only because there was no minor league season last year. The last time we saw him he 49 extra-base hits in just 108 games for the Mississippi Braves on his way to the Southern League MVP award as a 20-year-old. Waters will likely begin the year in Gwinnett, but if he continues to rake, it won’t be long before he’s in Atlanta with his best buddy Pache.
Pache and Waters are ranked #2 and #3 respectively on the SportsTalkATL Top 30 Prospects List.Â
