As of now, we don’t even know when the next NBA season will begin. I would guess sometime early in 2021; however, that hasn’t stopped 2K from releasing their annual ratings for their new game, and they just announced Trae Young‘s.

I wouldn’t say this is disrespectful. I would have had Young a little higher — maybe a 90, but an 88 is fair. I think we can all agree that, despite averaging 29 points and 9 assists last season, he still has a lot to prove. And when you look at players like Klay Thompson (89) and Kyrie Irving‘s (90) ratings, you understand why Young came in a little lower. However, unlike Thompson and Irving, I think there is a lot more room for upward movement as the game updates with Young. By the end of the season, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was rated in the mid-90s.
