The Hawks have now blown three games in a row after leading by more than 11 points in each contest. There’s blame to go around in each instance, and though the new-look roster was always going to take time to build chemistry, the incredible inconsistencies have become the norm. Trying to be patient while watching the same product on the floor every night is frustrating. But there is sometimes light in the darkness. Last night against the 76ers, Trae Young passed Doc Rivers for the most 10+ assists games in Hawks history.
Trae Young has tallied his 139th 10+ assist game of his career, passing Doc Rivers (138) for the most such games in franchise history.

Young is mostly known as a box office scorer with unlimited range, and he is all of those things, but he might be a better passer. His judgment has been inconsistent this season as he figures out his role next to Dejounte Murray, but Ice Trae is one of the best playmakers in the Association.
Rivers played for the Hawks with Dominque Wilkins from 1983-90, accumulating 6.8 assists per game over that period. Young hasn’t even finished his fifth NBA season, and he’s already passed the Sixers’ head coach, thanks to his career 9.1 assists per game average. Trae Young is generational; only time will tell if it’s enough to win a championship because that’s all that really matters.
