Trae Young is a superstar, and if it wasn’t clear how NBA fans feel about the Hawks point guard, the Association’s jersey sales should tell you all need to know about the Oklahoma product — #11, ahead of Lamelo Ball, Anthony Davis, Zion Williamson, and Kyrie Irving.

Nobody would question those four behind Ice Trae as superstars, but somehow basketball fans still question whether Young belongs in that conversation. Regardless of the leadership and maturity shortcomings, the young man is a box-office scorer and playmaker. He’s arguably the best combination of the two, along with LeBron James and Luka Doncic.
There are only two players in NBA history that have led the league in total points, and Trae Young is one of them — something he also did while at Norman. Young is a two-time All-Star, All-NBA recipient and averages 25.5 points and 9.2 assists per game for his career… those are impressive numbers for anyone. Young will always receive hate because of his size and play style, but Hawks fans should remember that all great athletes and people are polarizing because of envy.
