The Falcons and Saints will not be fully healthy for their first bout of the 2024 campaign in Atlanta.
Both club’s centers — Drew Dalman and Erik McCoy — will not be available, residing on their respective injured reserves. Atlanta and New Orleans could also be down other starting offensive linemen, as Kaleb McGary and Cesar Ruiz nurse injuries.
The Saints also have a pair of Pro Bowlers either not practicing or doing so in a limited capacity in Alvin Kamara and Demario Davis, along with four others. The Falcons, however, aren’t only in danger of not having McGary, as three new players appeared on Thursday’s injury report.
Jake Matthews didn’t practice, but he only missed to be with his wife for the birth of their second child; the iron man should be starting Sunday, but that might not be the case for Bijan Robinson and Matthew Judon.
The two Atlanta stars practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday as Robinson nurses a shoulder and Judon a hamstring.

The Falcons and Saints are dealing with their respective injuries to stars, so there won’t be any excuses for either side following Sunday’s tilt. Robinson, Judon, and McGary being available will go a long way, though.
New Orleans potentially being without two starters along the offensive line, an All-Pro in Kamara, and one of the most underrated players in the entire league in Davis would be a great opportunity to jump out to an early lead in the division.
The Falcons have to capitalize on this opportunity.
