The Atlanta Falcons officially have their 2022 schedule, and it looks brutal.

After Falcons President and CEO Rich McKay said that the schedule was “very balanced” before its public release, I was expecting an easier slate. But there’s a very realistic world in which Atlanta doesn’t get a win through the first seven weeks of the season.
Caught up with #Falcons President & CEO Rich McKay last night, and while he wasn't giving up any specific schedule details, he did hint that it is "very balanced. It is what it is." But he also said "I liked it. It was very consistent." ¯_(ツ)_/¯ pic.twitter.com/iECftJfO0i

The absolute gauntlet to start the season is highlighted by early matchups against the defending Super Bowl Champs in LA, as well as an away game in Cincinnati. The Falcons also travel to Seattle to play in one of the toughest venues in the NFL. However, the schedule does lighten up in late October/early November, with two matchups against Carolina being winnable.
Overall, there’s not too much to look forward to this season as Atlanta is in the midst of a rebuild. Hopefully, they’ll field a competitive and exciting team to make some of these games interesting. I would expect the Falcons to win 4-5 games; this take by Jake is accurate:
We saw the Falcons beat the team they were “supposed to” last year, but there aren’t many of those on the schedule in 2022. I think 7-10 is your ceiling and 3-14 is your floor. Probably will land right in the middle at 5-12.
