The Falcons clearly trust the people inside the building. Arthur Smith hired Dave Ragone and Charles London to his staff last offseason, which resulted in multiple free agent signings due to their relationships from Chicago. The most notable being Cordarrelle Patterson, who had a career year in 2021. Then, this offseason, Terry Fontenot added Ryan Pace, the former Bears GM, to the front office.
It seems Fontenot trusts Pace because the Falcons signed two free agents that played for the Bears last season — Teez Tabor and Elijah Wilkerson. Then turned around and signed running back Damien Williams, who also spent 2021 in Chicago. Now, the front office sees another potential Falcon who is a former Bear.
According to Field Yates, Atlanta hosted offensive lineman Germain Ifedi, who spent the last two seasons in Chicago.
The Falcons hosted free agent OL Germain Ifedi on a visit. He spent the past two seasons in Chicago with Ryan Pace, who is now in the Falcons' front office.

Ifedi is a versatile lineman who has experience at guard and tackle, starting 23 of his 25 games during his time with the Bears. A former first-round pick by Seattle in 2016, Ifedi started every game in his four seasons with the Seahawks. After Seattle declined his fifth-year option, he signed a one-year deal with the Bears.
Ifedi was demoted last year to a special teams role, but the Falcons could really use the experience along their offensive front. He could push Jalen Mayfield and Kaleb McGary but is most likely a depth piece.
