The Brewers may have collapsed against the Mets, keeping New York one game up in the division, but not all was lost tonight. The Braves defeated the Nationals in thrilling fashion, and with that win, they have officially clinched a spot in the postseason for the fifth consecutive season.

The caption says it all. It’s nice knowing the Braves are once again in the dance, but none of their ultimate goals have been accomplished. Their eyes are on the Mets and the top of the NL East, and then their focus will shift to the World Series. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of another magical run.
