Undoubtedly, the biggest loss from the Matt Olson trade was catcher Shea Langeliers. Fortunately for the Braves, William Contreras has been fantastic in 2022, because they have little depth at catcher. Langeliers is also playing well, which has resulted in Oakland adding him to their MLB roster:
The A's have selected Shea Langeliers and recalled David MacKinnon from Las Vegas. The A's also placed Ramón Laureano on the injured list and released Stephen Piscotty.

Langeliers has been fantastic after clubbing 22 home runs for the M-Braves and Stripers in 2021. For AAA Las Vegas this season, he has arguably been even better:

Shea Langeliers (2022, AAA): .283/.366/.510/.876, 19 2B, 2 3B, 19 HR, 56 RBI, 43 BB

With his defensive prowess, Langeliers can be one of the best catchers in all of baseball if he can hit at that level in the majors. I’m happy for the kid, and I hope he continues to tear it up out west.
