Chase Irle’s Locks (@IrleChase)

Season Record (36-29)

Utah (-2.5) vs. Oregon

It’s hard to beat a good team twice, but I don’t think the Ducks are a good team. Utah should win this game by at least a field goal.

Georgia (-6) vs. Alabama

If you’re betting Alabama in this one, you’re basically thinking Kirby Smart is going to once again choke against Nick Saban. I don’t see it. This should be a 17+ point game, and I see Georgia taking out all of their frustration on a Tide team that is so overrated.

Michigan (-11) vs. Iowa

Michigan is a good football team, capable of dominating both sides of the line of scrimmage. They do that against Iowa in what should be a 20+ point victory.

Season Record (37-25)

Georgia v. Alabama (u 49.5)

I think this is a close game and Alabama’s defense shows up, and you know Georgia’s will.

Baylor (+5.5) v. Oklahoma State

The Pokes are very good against the spread, and while I don’t think Baylor is on their level, I think they keep it close.

Michigan (-11) v. Iowa

I’m with Chase here, I think Iowa gets shut down. The Wolverines are also a nice 10-2 ATS.

Houston (+10.5) v. Cincinnati

Cincinnati has looked vulnerable at times, and Dana Holgerson’s squad is 11-1 on the season. That’s just way too many points for my liking.

Pitt (-3) v. Wake Forest

I think Kenny Pickett balls out against a Wake Forest team that got exposed on defense at times this year.

Season Record (25-19)

UGA (-6,5) vs. Alabama

The Dawgs are strongest where the Tide is most vulnerable. Bryce Young will have to pull off some sort of heroic performance because his offensive line will be a revolving door for Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, Travon Walker, etc. I think Kirby Smart’s team will take years of frustration and heartbreak out on Nick Saban and Alabama. It won’t be close.

Michigan (-10.5) vs. Iowa

Iowa is bad, and Michigan is good. It is that simple. Jim Harbaugh finally got his Wolverines over the Ohio State hump; they play a similar brand of football as UGA, and I expect this to get ugly quickly.

Oklahoma St (-5.5) vs. Baylor

I love where Dave Aranda is taking Baylor, but Mike Gundy has the Cowboys rolling, and I think they could potentially sneak into the playoffs with a little help.

Utah (-2.5) vs. Oregon

I like the Utes because I don’t necessarily buy Mario Cristobal. Kyle Whittingham gets half the respect that Cristobal does, but I think he’s the better coach in many ways.

Larsen Griffeth’s Locks

Season Record (31-18-1)

Cincinnati (-10.5) vs Houston

There’s a chance Cincy blows out Houston here. This is the moment they’ve waited years for and they’ll come out on fire. I like the Bearcats -6.5 1H also, because it’s under a touchdown and I avoid any kind of a backdoor Houston cover. But I’m going to rely on Cincy to get the job done.

Wake Forest (+3) vs Pitt

For the record, I think Wake wins this outright. It’s a total feeling bet and I’m fading the public. Party like it’s ’06. It’s the Deacs year!

Michigan vs Iowa (under 43.5)

This has 24-9 written all over it. I think Michigan wins, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Iowa keeps it close. I love the matchups in this game, too. It stays under.
