The Braves will have a couple of days off due to inclement weather and will take on the Kansas City Royals in Atlanta this weekend before potentially playing a doubleheader on Monday against the Mets for their postseason lives.
It’s a shame the Braves and Mets weren’t able to fit in the games before the weather hit Atlanta, but as this club has done so many times before, they’ll have to show their resilience and roll with the punches.
It’s been the season from hell for these Atlanta Braves. Injury after injury to their best players, including their three best coming into the season. Austin Riley played more than half the season, but Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuna Jr. barely played at all.
Strider went down after one start, while Acuna tore his ACL before the team’s 50th game. Coming off a unanimous MVP campaign, hopes were high for Acuna, who was sluggish to start the season.
Prior to his illustrious 40/70 season, Ronald Acuna was coming off another ACL injury. Though it’s a brutal blow for the young man, he’s made his way back from it before and made history. 2025 might resemble his 2022 numbers more so than the 2023 season, but that isn’t shaking Acuna’s focus for next year.
“Focus on my hitting, fielding, and anything I can do to help the team win. I don’t know if I will be able to steal the 40 or 50 bags as easily.”
Ronald Acuña Jr.’s main focus heading into next season?
Patience.

The Braves superstar will be back in Atlanta next season, but there’s no telling what version of Ronald Acuna Jr. we will be getting in 2025 and beyond.
