With the trade deadline approaching and Mike Clevinger heading to the Padres, there is one blockbuster name left to be moved (if the Rangers decide to pull the trigger), and the Braves are unsurprisingly interested. According to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, the Braves have been in contact with Texas regarding Lance Lynn, who has been outstanding this season.

Lynn is a 33-year-old veteran with loads of experience in the postseason. He would be a tremendous addition for the Braves, who could slot him right behind Max Fried in a potential playoff rotation. He also comes with one more year of control at a reasonable rate after this season.
In eight starts this year, Lynn boasts a minuscule 1.93 ERA over 51.1 innings, which is good for 2.1 WAR.
