Ronald Acuña Jr. was removed from Friday afternoon’s lineup with knee soreness. However, MLB.com’s Mark Bowman eased a lot of concerns when he reported that it was just precautionary and that Acuña was participating in batting practice as well as signing autographs. Bowman even said Acuña might return to the lineup by Sunday.
That put all my concerns to rest, but not for long, as now Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Acuña will get his knee checked out by a doctor.
Ronald Acuña Jr. is getting his knee looked at by a doctor, "just to make sure," Brian Snitker said. It's not an MRI, Snitker said.
"I don't think it'll be anything," Snitker said.

Brian Snitker doesn’t seem too concerned, but I would be lying if there isn’t a little part of me scared to death. Acuña is coming off a historic 40/70 season, and it still feels like he’s an ascending talent. The only thing that’s held him back to this point in his career has been injuries. Losing him for any amount of time isn’t just bad for the Braves; it’s bad for the entire game of baseball.
