We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The NFL Draft is here, which means the rumors and reports are flooding in, with several tied to the Falcons.
Most recently, it’s been Mel Kiper, who has pegged the Falcons to pick one of two prospects — Dallas Turner or Byron Murphy. Surprisingly, Laiatu Latu wasn’t mentioned, but the UCLA pass rusher and Turner are the co-betting favorites.
Albert Breer also reported that the Falcons are one of several teams that have made calls about potentially trading back into the first round for a second selection tonight. Peter Schrager added that Atlanta could be one of 10 first-round trades in Thursday’s first round.
Well, let’s add one more, shall we? According to Dianna Russini, the Rams are calling to get into the top 10.
The Rams, who haven't picked in the first round since 2016, are calling to get into the top 10, per sources.

No, she didn’t connect the Falcons to the report, but that doesn’t mean Atlanta isn’t one of them.
Los Angeles GM Les Snead and Terry Fontenot have already made deals in the past, so we can assume they have a working relationship. There’s also an obvious connection between Raheem Morris and the Rams.
The Falcons have reportedly been taking calls on trading down, and if the deal is sweet enough, I imagine moving down to the Rams’ 19th is in play for Fontenot. It would likely net a future first-round pick moving down 11 spots.
It’s all about value. The Falcons’ war room is likely going to be showered in trade offers depending on how the first seven picks shake out. It’ll be a whirlwind, and I can’t wait.
