In an unusual instance, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris attended a pro day, and not just any pro day. It was Marshall’s pro day to see Mike Green, the country’s leader in sacks from last season.

It’s not uncommon for a head coach to attend a pro day like the one in Athens, where Georgia has three prospects projected to go in the first round and another half-dozen expected to be drafted.
However, Raheem Morris’s presence is notable for a smaller school like Marshall. Last year, the Falcons sent a sizeable group to a private workout to watch Michael Penix Jr. throw, and while this was a pro day, it still should be acknowledged.
Green led college football in sacks, but there are some off-the-field issues that muddy the possibility of the Falcons drafting him. D. Orlando Ledbetter believes those off-the-field accusations will be enough for Atlanta to pass on him.
“At the NFL Scouting Combine, he said he left after being he was accused of sexual assault, an allegation that he denied, and he said he’s “done nothing wrong.” Green went on to say he’d been accused of sexual assault twice,” D Led wrote.
Green had 17 sacks last season, and the Falcons had 31 as a team. It’s hard to argue with the prospect of Atlanta taking the nation’s leader in sacks, so long as the off-the-field issues are cleared up.
