On April 6th, Brian McCann left a game against the Marlins with a hamstring injury. That’s far from a promising sign for a 35-year old catcher that has had multiple injuries over his last two seasons. Hamstrings are one of those nagging ordeals that never seem to go away. As a result, the Braves placed McCann on the 10-day Injured List, but the prognosis five days later is positive
Mark Bowman of MLB.com, tweeted today that McCann is in uniform and participating in pre-game activities. He cannot be activated until his ten days on the Injured List are up, but the Braves believe he could be ready by next week when he is officially eligible to be activated.
