The Falcons are looking incredibly thin at wide receiver. Following Calvin Ridley’s suspension, the only returning receiver they have on the roster is 2021 sixth-round pick Frank Darby. According to Jordan Schultz, there is some interest in bringing back Russell Gage, but the Falcons aren’t alone.
#Lions are “really hoping” to sign an impact WR to pair alongside rising star Amon-Ra St. Brown, a league source says. Among others, I’m told Detroit has interest in Christian Kirk, Braxton Berrios and Russell Gage — whom the #Falcons are hoping to bring back.

Gage was solid for the Falcons in 2021, but he didn’t take the leap many expected after Atlanta traded away Julio Jones. Gage finished with 770 yards and four scores, but I expected him to finish closer to the thousand-yard mark. Atlanta’s offense as a whole took a step back, but I still think it would be wise for the Falcons to bring Gage back for the right price. If you can add a few key contributors like DJ Chark and Allen Lazard, the Falcons should be okay at receiver going into the draft.
