If for some reason you didn’t think the Falcons were serious about Deshaun Watson before yesterday, you definitely should know now. Adam Schefter’s original report regarding Atlanta’s interest in Watson was met with skepticism, but several other NFL insiders soon verified it, and then it was revealed the Falcons had a meeting scheduled for Wednesday with the Texans quarterback. A meeting in which the Falcons apparently rolled out the “red carpet” for in an attempt to bring Watson home.
According to Aaron Wilson, Arthur Blank as well as several other key members of the organization were in attendance.
Falcons rolled out the 'red carpet' today during their meeting in Atlanta with Deshaun Watson that included the NFC South franchise's owner, Arthur Blank, and the other key members of the team's leadership group, per league sources, and delivered an impressive presentation.

The history between the Falcons and Watson is lengthy. He was a ball boy for the team when he was in high school and has since developed quite the relationship with owner Arthur Blank. Several times he has hinted at wanting to play for the Falcons, and apparently, it was he who originally reached out to express interest in playing for his hometown.
Because of important dates looming, a decision has to come before the weekend, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he were on a new team within the next 24 hours. The Falcons have the pieces to make an enticing trade package for the Texans, but at the end of the day, it’s up to Watson because of his no-trade clause.
