The Falcons are close to an agreement with former Cardinals seventh-round pick in 2019 — Morgan State alum Joshua Miles.
Former #Cardinals seventh-round draft pick from Morgan State @MorganStateU Josh Miles has played in 17 career games. Now, close to joining #Falcons, per a league source https://t.co/VU3T7MRtf5

The Falcons clearly needed to add some depth at the position. I thought it was a possibility during the draft, but using the resources they have to spare a draft pick on someone who is hopefully a backup is a good call. They still need to address left guard.
Miles was actually pretty solid in limited action in 2021, especially as a pass blocker — posting a 81.3 PFF grade. Regardless, the sample size is tiny, and with all due respect — hopefully we don’t have to see him in Atlanta. Jake Matthews and Kaleb McGary have been pretty consistent throughout their careers, so let’s hope that continues.
