According to reports from Steve Wyche, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy actually had a strong interview with the Falcons.
COMING SOON: My report that Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy had a strong interview with the Falcons and very much remains in the hunt for their HC vacancy – from a source involved with the interview process

This is directly contradicting the news that Bieniemy struggled in his interview with the Falcons. From a piece earlier on those reports, “According to The Falcoholic, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who was reportedly Arthur Blank’s pick of the litter coming into the interview process, did not help his cause when he met with Blank and Rich McKay. This was initially reported by Houston Texans reporter Aaron Wilson.”
The quote below is from the Falcholic piece:
[The Falcons] literally want to hire a Black coach. They would love for him to crush the interview. He did not crush the interview, and these teams care a lot about these interviews.
All of this kind of seems nonsensical. The original report came from some Houston radio host, no real credibility there. And, a tweet from Orlando Ledbetter seems to point in the exact opposite direction too.
Don’t waste your time with the Eric Bieniemy didn’t crush his interview with the #Falcons reports. It’s not accurate. Now, enjoy Super Wildcard Weekend.

It is safe to side with the credentialed media in Atlanta over a fly on the wall in Houston. Eric Bieniemy is surely still in the conversation for the head coach vacancy in Atlanta.
