The Falcons are seemingly in the Football Gods’ good graces because in an absolute must-win game against the Raiders on Monday Night Football, Atlanta will draw Las Vegas without their best player.
According to Adam Schefter, Maxx Crosby will not play on Monday with an ankle injury.

The Raiders are a bad football team, but Maxx Crosby was one of the few players that kept opposing teams up at night. The Falcons have to win this game, or they can kiss a postseason berth goodbye.
The Falcons currently sit a game behind the Buccaneers in the NFC South, but Tampa draws a tough Los Angeles Chargers team, while Atlanta gets the measly Raiders. If the Falcons win and the Bucs lose, we will be in first place by way of the tiebreaker.
Then, all the Falcons have to do is match the Buccaneers over the final three games of the season. That will end Atlanta’s playoff drought, which began in 2018. It all starts this week as the club faces an old friend in Desmond Ridder.
Surely, nothing will go wrong, right?
