Collin McHugh 2023 Stat Predictions
Collin McHugh was my favorite new addition of the 2022 season. He’s not the typical fireballer that comes out of the bullpen, but everything he throws moves miles, and his slider is among the nastiest pitches in all of baseball. Opponents hit just .150 off the offering last season and slugged a paltry .242.
What also makes McHugh so valuable is his ability to go multiple innings in each outing if needed. He’s the perfect guy to bridge the gap between the starter and the hard-throwing guys in the late innings. McHugh has been one of the better middle relievers in the game for the last five years now, and I don’t expect that to change in 2023.
Collin McHugh 2023 Stat Predictions: 4-2, 2.78 ERA, 3.00 FIP, 9.9 K/9, 1.1 fWAR
