The trade deadline is about 24 hours away, and the Braves have yet to make a trade.
They were reportedly in discussions with the White Sox, but the player at hand wasn’t clear. Garrett Crochet was linked to Atlanta; we do know that it won’t be one of Erick Fedde or Tommy Pham, as the pair were part of a three-team trade with both players ending up in St. Louis with the Cardinals.
The full trade is three teams and seven players, according to sources.
Dodgers get: UT Tommy Edman, RP Michael Kopech.
Cardinals get: SP Erick Fedde, OF Tommy Pham.
White Sox get three INF prospects from the Dodgers: Miguel Vargas, Alexander Albertus and Jeral Perez.

Erick Fedde and Tommy Pham fit a lot of what the Braves are expected to target at this year’s trade deadline.
Fedde, a former first-round pick, was out of major league baseball in just five seasons before he revived his career in Korea, adding a splitter and tweaking his breaking ball. He returned to America on a two-year, $15 million deal with the White Sox, and he’s continued to experience success.
In 121.2 innings for Chicago, Fedde has pitched to the tune of a 3.11 ERA, with a more than impressive 6.8% walk rate and 21.5% strikeout rate. He’s under team control at a very palatable price and would fill the Braves’ rotation concerns for 2025. Moreover, his presence would’ve solidified a rotation with a lot of concerns about Reynaldo Lopez and other injuries.
Pham, on the other hand, was a bit of a wonky fit because of his reported clubhouse troubles. The 36-year-old is coming off an excellent postseason run with the Diamondbacks, but the veteran lingered on the free agent market for quite some time.
He ended up inking a one-year deal with Chicago and has put together a respectable season, owning a .266/.330/.380 slash line in 297 plate appearances with the White Sox.
The Braves are still surely dialing because they need bodies, badly.
