With Michael Harris graduating from prospect status, the Braves farm system has never been so barren. But it does seem like every time we say that a fresh face surprises us out of nowhere. Freddy Tarnok could be that next revelation, as he was promoted to AAA Gwinnett today following a dominant stretch in Mississippi.
Congratulations to M-Braves starter Freddy Tarnok (@FreddyTarnok) on his promotion to AAA @GoStripers!

Tarnok is a 6’3″ right-hander that finished last season strong with Mississippi, posting a 2.60 ERA over nine starts. He started off 2022 shaky, but the last month has been exceptionally kind to him as he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in a single outing.
With so many pitchers at the Braves disposal right now, it will probably be a while before we see Tarnok. But who knows? If he finishes this year strong in AAA, perhaps he could compete for a spot on the Opening Day roster in 2023.
