NFL GMs, execs, and head coaches overwhelmingly vote Bijan Robinson as the best rookie

NFL: AUG 04 Atlanta Falcons Training Camp

The hype building around Bijan Robinson is palpable. The Falcons rookie is the most dynamic running back to come out of college since Saquon Barkley and is the overwhelming favorite to take home the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Not only is he a seamless fit in Atlanta because of his ability as a runner and Arthur Smith’s run heavy offense, but Cordarrelle Patterson also laid the blueprint in 2021 for what Bijan Robinson could be as a receiving threat as well.

It has fans salivating. I’ve gone on record stating he’s already the face of the franchise and will soon be the biggest star in Atlanta, which is saying something considering the Braves have Ronald Acuna Jr. and the Hawks’ Trae Young.

I’m not alone either. More than 20 voters, comprised of general managers, team executives, head coaches and assistant coaches, voted Bijan Robinson as the best rookie in the league.

Here’s how the voting broke down:

Robinson should lead the club in touches (targets and carries) and have every opportunity to cement himself as a superstar in 2023. I wouldn’t even be surprised if we end this season with many considering him the best player at his position.

It’s not only that he’s incredibly talented as a receiver and runner, but also that he landed in the perfect situation for him. Arthur Smith will feature him in the run game obviously. However, many are underestimating his impact in the passing game. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was third in targets behind Kyle Pitts and Drake London.

It’s clear the people in the NFL know what is coming; it’s only a matter of time before everyone is drooling over Bijan Robinson.
