After the NFL world turned upside down following an egregious roughing the passer call on Grady Jarrett, the league has announced a fine for Tom Brady after kicking the Falcons defender, per Adam Schefter.
NFL notified Buccaneers’ QB Tom Brady today that it is fining him $11,139 for kicking Grady Jarrett on the play in which the Falcons’ DL was penalized for unnecessary roughness, per source.

If the phantom call wasn’t terrible enough, which Brady acknowledged as bogus, the officials missed Brady kicking Grady Jarrett following the sack.

What??

What’s interesting is that Tom Brady actually tried to kick #Falcons Grady Jarrett twice. Everyone saw the phantom roughing the passer kick. But this was earlier in the game: https://t.co/XIHVOiTaSF pic.twitter.com/bH5J1uEhYo

The NFL is a joke sometimes. And it’s for situations like this. $11K is absolutely pennies to someone of Brady’s financial standing. Instead of a game-changing penalty on Brady, which would have backed the Buccaneers up 15 more yards before punting, the dense Jerome Boger calls Jarrett for unnecessary roughness. There’s a real problem with officiating in this league, and this is just an even worse look for the NFL and Tom Brady alike.
