The Falcons and 30 other teams will likely be in the market for Myles Garrett, who requested a trade from the Browns earlier today.
However, there are a lot of obstacles that must be overcome for a blockbuster trade to come to fruition. Cleveland has to acquiesce to Garrett’s trade request, which involves its own hurdles, particularly the dead money associated with moving the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.
Secondly, the Falcons and any other interested party will have to put together a trade package that appeases the Browns and a new contract that appeases Garrett. There are a lot of layers to this story, but the Falcons should be as interested as any party.
With Michael Penix Jr. in the fold, Atlanta should be comfortable mortgaging several first-round picks and a player or two for Garrett’s services. But the oddsmakers don’t see Atlanta as a likely trade destination. In fact, per BetOnline, the Falcons have the worst odds to trade for Myles Garrett:

I mean, I didn’t think the Falcons would have the best odds to land Myles Garrett, but literally tied for last? That’s kind of shocking.
They have every incentive to trade for a guy like Garrett, and unlike the Raiders, they have the franchise quarterback needed to reach a Super Bowl, which is clearly the reason why Garrett wants out of Cleveland.
Odds have more to them than just what’s most likely. For instance, the Cowboys being the favorite limits the house’s liability because of the trigger-happy Cowboys fans who think everything revolves around him.
Still, dead last? That’s a bit insulting.
