As we’ve seen with the Fontenot-Smith regime, the Falcons dipped heavily into Senior Bowl talent in the 2022 NFL Draft. And Jim Nagy, one of the most respected scouts in the business, had a lot of very good things to say about the players picked by the Falcons:
Terry Fontenot & Arthur Smith’s second draft could be home run if QB Desmond Ridder is who we think he is. Here’s what Falcons fans can expect from ‘22 class:
⚫️ OLB Arnold Ebiketie- Athletic every-down OLB who could start right away. Immediately adds much-needed pass rush. 1/3 https://t.co/u0eNAQNZ9R

These are common themes we’ve heard throughout the post-draft cycle; the media in general has been pretty high on what Atlanta has done. Personally, I think they did a pretty good job, but only time will tell if they drafted true impact players in 2022. If you want to read my breakdown and grades of each pick, you can check that out here.
