The Braves season is quickly slipping through the cracks. Following a third straight loss in what was an unwatchable performance against the Brewers, Atlanta is now back to 6.5 games behind the Phillies in the NL East and narrowly hanging onto the final spot in the Wild Card race. It’s a club in desperate need of a shot of adrenaline, and the hope is that Michael Harris can be just that when he’s eligible to come off the IL in a week.
Last night, Harris began his rehab assignment in AAA Gwinnett, and it took him just one at-bat to get his first MiLB hit of the season.
Well, that didn't take long.

Michael Harris would end up going 1-for-4 on the night as he batted leadoff and served as Gwinnett’s designated hitter. Later in the week, he’ll get a chance to play the field where we will really see him test his hamstring, but the expectation is for him to return right when he’s eligible on August 14th.
