A couple of weeks ago, Matt Olson was amid possibly the worst slump of his career, and in general, the body of work for the entire season wasn’t what the Braves expected. But I wrote about how all of that would be forgotten if he could get hot down the stretch and, most importantly, deliver in the postseason. We don’t know yet how Olson will handle the bright lights of the playoffs, but if this past week was any indication, Braves fans are in for a treat.
In the biggest series of the season, Matt Olson was Atlanta’s most valuable player, going 5-for-9 and homering in all three games. Without him, the Braves are probably preparing to play in a Wild Card Series today, so it’s no surprise Matt Olson received the final NL Player of the Week award of the season.
Finishing off the season strong!

Matt Olson also added a double and a homer against the Marlins in the final game of the season. He’s going into the postseason hot, and the Braves need him at the top of his game if they want to repeat.
