Coming into the week, Falcons fans were on cloud nine, preparing to host Arthur Smith and the Steelers as the Raheem Morris era kicked off.
There was a ton of anticipation for this potentially potent offense and new-look defense, but Falcons fans were knocked down a couple of pegs when Morris announced to the Atlanta media that Kyle Pitts was dealing with a hamstring injury.
For a player who has been limited by injuries before, this was obviously a difficult pill to swallow for fans, but Morris finished that appearance by noting that he wasn’t worried, and Pitts echoed similar sentiments that he’ll be fine.
That still didn’t stop Falcons fans from Tweeting their panic, to which Kyle Pitts replied:

Pitts is referencing comments made during his media appearance that the injury would only limit him in practice, maybe missing one or two plays. Granted, Falcons fans have reason to be nervous, pessimistic fans. They’ve endured a lot of hell over the years, more than most.
Moreover, soft tissue injuries are tricky and can flare up in the blink of an eye. Pitts also has a history of lingering injuries, so I can understand why Falcons fans are a bit reactionary. With all of that being said, Raheem Morris and Kyle Pitts are confident in his ability to be on the field 100% this Sunday, so we have to take their word for it.
