Right now, the Dawgs are a little banged up, missing multiple starters. Among them are two of their best blockers — Darnell Washington and Warren McClendon. Additionally, Chaz Chambliss is hurt, and Georgia has already been missing Nolan Smith for weeks.
Kirby Smart updates Georgia's injuries and says the Bulldogs are "hopeful to get pretty much all the guys back" for next Monday's College Football Playoff National Championship Game against TCU:https://t.co/jKXW1oQlFi pic.twitter.com/Vp3BiLnCxU

Knowing Kirby Smart, he isn’t going to give TCU any type of heads up before the game. All three of these guys are likely game time decisions, especially with only one game left. Washington has a good chance to play, and McClendon has been able to rest up since the SEC Championship:
Kirby Smart told me that TE Darnell Washington’s leg injury is not an ankle sprain.
Smart said the injury is a “soft tissue contusion and strain,” does not require surgery, and, according to Smart, gives Washington a better chance to play in NC than if it was an ankle sprain.— Marty Smith (@MartySmithESPN) January 2, 2023
Mykel Williams stepped up big time in Chambliss’ absence. Regardless, Georgia is going to need all hands on deck for a scrappy TCU team that never seems to die.
