The way John Collins is playing right now, he should be an All-Star. If he did not start the season sidelined with an injury, he probably very well would be. However, he will still get to partake in not only the Rising Stars Challenge but the Slam Dunk Contest as well on All-Star Weekend:
The NBA announced that the Slam Dunk contest participants are: Miles Bridges
John Collins
Hamidou Diallo
Dennis Smith Jr.Shoutout to @ChrisBHaynes and @OMaroneyNBA for having the field and Derrick Jones Jr. replacement a while back.

Considering Collins’ athleticism, his performance projects to be one of legends. It will be interesting to see if he will pay tribute to any former Hawks.
Here are some of John’s best dunks from the season to this point:
Confirmed today by the NBA, Oliver Maroney was the first to report Collins in the dunk contest:
Being told that John Collins and Derrick Jones Jr are also expected to be in the 2019 NBA All Star Dunk Contest, per sources. Adding to Miles Bridges (@ChrisBHaynes first to report Bridges).https://t.co/dbfoN5vQeL
