Joc Pederson was one of the most important pieces of the Braves’ magical World Series run. Before the trade deadline, the club couldn’t get out of their own way. They were hampered by injuries and, surprisingly, a lack of energy. Insert Joctober. He was the team’s spark when they needed it most. Whether it be the wine or the pearls, Joc brought the fun back into the clubhouse, propelling the team through the postseason.
Oh, yeah; his on-the-field contributions were pretty significant too. He hit two home runs in the NLDS against the Brewers and another in the NLCS against the Dodgers. He ended the World Series run with nine RBIs, and after the Braves won, who could forget Joc’s hilarious comments at the championship parade?

The Braves probably would’ve liked to have him back in 2022, but they couldn’t offer him the full-time role that he desired. Instead, he went back out west and joined his hometown Giants, where he’s been absolutely raking. Pederson is slashing .267/.342/.552 with an .894 OPS, 14 homers, 36 RBIs, and will probably be elected to the All-Star game in Los Angeles.
This week, Joc returns to Atlanta as the Braves face the Giants in a four-game series at Truist Park. It’s a bittersweet reunion where Pederson will receive his World Series ring and what is likely to be a loud, standing ovation from Braves Country. What makes this even better is the pearls have returned with him!
Joc Pederson is rocking the pearls. "I wore them today. I'll probably wear them the whole series then see what happens."
They're from the same jeweler who made the pearls he wore with the #Braves last season that are now in the Hall of Fame. pic.twitter.com/5Pi7qsNrUp
