The Falcons kick off the 2021 season at home in Atlanta against the Eagles in a showdown that should have the roof of Mercedes-Benz open with such great weather. Football is back! The Eagles and Falcons are both in a transitional phase as the two organizations hired head coaches this past offseason — Nick Sirianni and Arthur Smith.

Philadelphia has a much easier path to winning their division than Atlanta, but the good guys certainly have a higher ceiling this season with Smith at the helm. This season, Jalen Hurts is playing for his life as the new regime isn’t tied to him, so I would expect the Eagles to lean on him this year to see what they have in him. The fact that Philly doesn’t have much offensive firepower outside of Zach Ertz and Devonta Smith is concerning for the City of Brotherly Love, but the Falcons will certainly look to take advantage.
