The Falcons didn’t do much right in a contest against the Lions. Ironically, many former Falcons had forgettable performances across the NFL.
WR Calvin Ridley
Ridley’s Jaguars debut couldn’t have been better. He put up 101 yards and a score on eight catches in Week 1 but only mustered two receptions for 32 yards against the Chiefs last week. That lack of production continued in Week 4 against the Texans. Since that 100+ yard performance, Ridley has combined for just five receptions in the next two games, including a painful drop against Houston.
TE Hayden Hurst
Like Ridley, Hurst’s best game came in the season opener. Against the Falcons, he logged 41 yards and a touchdown on five catches against his former team. He logged three catches for 20 yards last week on Monday Night Football and followed it up with a one-catch performance against the Seahawks.
LB Foyesade Oluokun
Foye Oluokun followed up three double-digit tackle performances with a season-high 14 against the Texans on Sunday. He once again is trending toward being one of the leading tacklers in football.
EDGE Dante Fowler Jr.
Like Hurst and Ridley, Fowler’s best performance came in Week 1, when he logged a pair of quarterback hits against the Giants. He did log two tackles against the Jets last week but put up a stinker against the Cardinals, who upset the Cowboys on national television.
CB Isaiah Oliver
Oliver didn’t start either of the first two games but did get some burn in both contests. He was the hero of the Niners’ win over the Steelers, logging five tackles and an interception. He did end up getting the start this week against the Giants, in which he posted four tackles in a dominating win for San Fran.
LB Deion Jones
Deion Jones got a start for the Panthers in the wake of Shaq Thompson‘s injury. In his regular season debut, Debo logged an interception, which is something he did frequently with the Falcons.
