Baseball is back, and though the MLB initially canceled the first two series of the season, there will be a 162-game schedule. According to David O’Brien, the Braves will open at home against the Cincinnati Reds on April 7th, then host the Nationals in a seven-game home stand to begin the season.
Let me try that again:
Instead of opening with a Miami-New York road trip as originally scheduled, the #Braves now open April 7 at home vs. the Reds. After a seven-game homestand vs. Reds and Nationals, the Braves have a seven-game trip April 14-20 to San Diego & Dodger Stadium.— David O'Brien (@DOBrienATL) March 11, 2022
The Braves need to figure out the Freddie Freeman situation, add another outfielder or two, and potentially another starter. Those decisions should be imminent. Spring Training is set to begin in a couple of days, and the regular season is less than a month away.
