ESPN’s panel of NBA writers came together to vote on who they believe will be crowned Rookie of the Year at season’s end.
Luka Doncic is the clear favorite for our panelists, but who do you think will be this season's ROY? pic.twitter.com/UqCzrlPKdL

Somewhat surprisingly, Luka Doncic was the overwhelming favorite to take home the award. Deandre Ayton finished second, with no other player receiving more than 6% of the first place votes.
The #5 overall selection, Trae Young, did not receive a single first-place vote.
Everyone knows what happened on draft day. Atlanta passed on the WonderBoy from Europe, trading him to Dallas for Trae Young and 2019 first-round pick. That first-round pick serves as a safety net for the Hawks. However, the winner of this trade will likely be decided on who has the better career, Trae Young or Luka Doncic. If this panel of voters tells you anything, they believe the Hawks were swindled on draft day.
