Hawks: Trae Young joins the 90 club in NBA 2K

Yesterday, Trae Young joined the elusive 90+ club on NBA 2K.

Young is now the 17th member of the 90+ club — some that I agree with, and some that I don’t. Ja Morant is one of the most promising young players in the league, but there’s no way he should have been rated a 90 before Young, and I’m still not sure how Kyrie Irving is rated a 91 when he hasn’t played a game all season.

I also think Young should be on par with players like Luka Doncic and Jimmy Buter, who are both rated 93+. After all, Young is having a substantially better season than them this year, and anybody who thinks it is a fluke simply is not paying attention. Young is a legitimate MVP candidate, and if the Hawks can start to string together some consistent winning basketball, you’ll begin to hear his name much more in the national spotlight.
