With the Hawks ravaged by positive COVID tests, there is finally some good news coming out of Atlanta. It appears that Trae Young is close to being cleared for tonight’s game against the Bulls
Trae Young has received a negative test result, @TheAthleticNBA has learned. He needs two negative tests, but it suggests there’s a chance of him being cleared before tonight’s game against the Bulls.

Young hasn’t played since December 17th and has missed three straight games for the Hawks. With a laundry list of other players out and no point guards available for tonight’s game, this would be huge for Atlanta facing a good Bulls team:

Young is in the midst of an MVP Caliber Season, and the Hawks need their superstar back as they fight to stay above water in a competitive Eastern Conference playoff race. His 27.3 points per game and 9.3 assists per game while shooting almost 38% from three is sorely missed right now.
