An hour before the NBA Draft Woj dropped a bomb on us, announcing the Hawks have agreed to a deal with the Pelicans, moving up to four in the draft.
Atlanta has acquired New Orleans No. 4 pick in the draft for No. 8 and 17 and 35, league sources tell ESPN. Pelicans are sending Solomon Hill, No. 57 pick and a future second-round pick.

The deal sends the Pelicans the 8th, 17th, and 35th picks in the draft. Atlanta also takes on the last year of Solomon Hill’s abysmal contract to help the Pelicans shed salary cap. In addition to the fourth pick, the Hawks receive the 57th pick in this year’s draft and a future second-round selection.
According to Woj, Travis Schlenk has his eyes on De’Andre Hunter – the small forward out of Virginia. Hunter helped lead the Hoos to the national championship last season and is regarded as the best defender in the draft by many. For a full write up on Hunter’s game, click here.
The Hawks now own the 4th, 10th, and 57th pick in this year’s draft.
